About Us

Chalyss was started up in 1995 which our core music focus was underground hip hop with a gogo twist. The band consisted of a group of friends that had the same passion for hip hop and gogo. They all came together to form the band Chalyss. The name came from the drummer whose roots were from Jamaica. The term Chalyss is in reference to a bong. With the group driven by good vibes this name fit like a glove. It’s core members was Cheerio (RIP), Boo (RIP), T-Roy (RIP),  Kermit, Al, Biggie Bad, Dior, Kwick & Goo! The group fizzled out after several members passed away. Fast forward to 2018 Kwick & Goo came together with an idea of bringing back the group with the same theory of musical focus! To date Chalyss has completely resurrected and focused on bringing the same good vibes from the late 90’s for your musical pleasure.
